A massage gun is an effective tool to use after a workout. The vibrating massage generates waves in different frequencies, that contributes to increased blood circulation and reconstruction of damaged tissue through higher activity in the cells.
Common areas that become tight during the day and after training are calves, the ligament/thigh muscle, and shoulders/trapezius. When recovering a muscle, it is important to first massage the entire muscle at a lower frequency level in order to try to find where in the muscle it is most sore. Once you have found the area, hold the massage gun in that area for at least 30 seconds. This is so that the receptors in the muscles respond to the vibrations and thus relax and reduce the pain.
